This category gathers general-purpose machine learning datasets. The UCI Machine Learning Repository, the KEEL repository and the Toronto Delve collection hold hundreds of tabular sets for classification and regression. Recommendation data comes from MovieLens, the Million Song Dataset, Yandex's Yambda-5B music interactions and eBay auction records. For video and vision there are YouTube-8M, YouTube-BoundingBoxes, the Audi Autonomous Driving Dataset, the TikTok dance dataset and the LLVIP low-light image pairs.
Newer entries measure AI systems themselves: model benchmark scores, free-tier limits of video models and local LLM inference speed and power use. Older academic sets are small and well studied, which makes them good for teaching but easy to overfit through repeated use. Check the licence on each: LLVIP is CC BY-NC, and MovieLens has its own usage terms that restrict commercial use. Some links point to Wayback or Kaggle mirrors because the original host is gone.
